This Diwali I will kill you

A boy holding a gun in his hand said, "Okay. you run. I will kill you."

ELABORATION : A boy, around 8-9, holding a plastic gun which is generally used during Diwali festival said his friend to run and he would chase him to kill him. Like Cops And Thieves .

I was gardening. I heard them. Like any other normal grown-up, I added philosophy into the situation. Burning crackers is an indirect process of killing; killing the atmosphere; killing an environment; killing lives. And again as a normal grown-up and a confused blogger, I decided to pen it down( Keyed it down, here ;-) )

This is the global problem. Why to add more? Mother Nature is already messed up. Globe is already tortured.

According to the recent reviews, loud sound of the crackers scare the birds and animals and they die due to shock. It is truly merciless.

If your kids ask you to buy crackers, you can tell them these consequences. Tell them about the major two types of pollution which they might have studied already or would do. Make them aware of the fact and our moral duty to take care about the green earth. Teach them that the issues and their solutions are not only piece of paper which you read and pass exams, you have to implement them as well in the real life.

Diwali is not only about the crackers. Yes, it is the part of celebration but overdose may lead to the bad result. Diwali is also about lights, sweets and colors of beautiful Rangolis. Draw you kids towards that.

Don't make it the matter of show-off and comparisons. It's meaningless. Keep yourself away from this and teach your kids to do the same.

In the area where you are burning loud crackers, have you ever thought of the other citizens. Some may be ill, some may be having small kids who get easily scared by the loud voice.

Spread happiness, not torture. Make someone happy. Distribute sweets. Give blankets to the homeless. That would be the best celebration.

Understand the situation, how serious it has become! It's already too late. If we don't consider it serious enough now, the results would be devastating.
